Soy and Sesame Marinade

Source: How to Cook Everything, Mark Bittman

1 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1 1/2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Combine all ingredients and whisk together. If too strong, add a teaspoon of water at a time to mellow the flavor.
